There are a number of organizations that assist businesses in New Mexico.

Resource List to Help Your Business

New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD)

State sponsored site designed to enhance and leverage a competitive environment to create jobs, develop the tax base and provide incentives for business development. The EDD provides business resources information on their website at https://gonm.biz/business-development/brc-directory/ 

New Mexico Procurement Technical Assistance Program (NMPTAP)

Counseling and training to businesses interested in doing business with all government entities.

Small Business Administration

Business Guide for business. This is for starting a business but covers topics for businesses seeking to expand or needing information – https://www.sba.gov/business-guide/ 

New Mexico Small Business Development Center (NMSBDC)

Free business counseling for NM small businesses with 20 offices across the State. Low cost workshops also offered on a wide variety of subjects including financing, business plans, and marketing to name a few. 

Women’s Business Center

WBCs provide free to low cost counseling and training and focus on women who want to start, grow and expand their small business.

National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)

Free business mentoring and education.

Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC)

This program is designed to provide entrepreneurial development services and referrals for eligible veterans owning or considering starting a small business.

Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce

Help for your business.

Sandoval Economic Alliance (SEA)

A private, not-for-profit economic development corporation established to strengthen and diversify the economic base of Rio Rancho and Sandoval County, New Mexico.

Women’s Economic Self Sufficiency Team (WESST)

Founded in 1989, WESST now helps anyone (not just women).
